Walkthrough:

Level 1 ??rehouse, Woodland Hills

The game starts out in lovely Woodland Hills in LA, also known as "The Valley". This ramp filled warehouse may be small compared to the other areas in the game but it has elements of every type of skate-able surface you?find throughout the rest of the game. There loads of hidden gaps to uncover and a couple like the Face-plant gap and the Holy Sh** grind are darn tough to pull off. This is one of the few levels that it is actually possible to earn all five tapes in a single run. But then again his is just the first level and things will get tougher as you advance.

Maps Note: Numbers on the maps represent gaps found throughout the level. Check the corresponding number in the text for a full description of that particular gap.Click Map for Larger Version.

Gaps

1. Monster Grind ??0 Points ??is one is tough but not impossible. Get a load of speed by pulling a trick off the quarter-pipe in the upper left of the area and then grinding the length of the rail in the center of the room and launch off the quarter-pipe in the back of the room. Land on the top left of the big Skateboarding sign hanging above in a grind. Moving left to right, grind the top of the sign, ollie to the coping on the quarter-pipe below then ollie to and grind the railing leading to half-pipe. You must grind the entire sign to get the bonus but you will also get the High Rail bonus. Pull tricks and spins in-between grinds for the big points.

2. High Rail ??0 Points ??ind the entire length of the top of the Skateboarding sign. To get up there get a load of speed by pulling a trick off the quarter-pipe in the upper left of the area. Then grinding the length of the rail in the center of the room and launch off the quarter-pipe in the back of the room towards the sign hanging above.

3. Taxi 2 Ledge ??0 Points ??t loads of speed by grinding the center rail or pulling some air on the hump portion of the quarter-pipe running along the back of the room and Ollie from the taxi to the ledge with the railing leading to the half-pipe.

4. Taxi Gap ??0 Points ??is one isn't very tough. Just get a little speed by pulling a trick off the quarter-pipe running along the back wall, under the large skateboarding sign and aim for the taxi. Ollie from the taxi to the center of the half-pipe for the bonus.

5. Taxi 2 Rail ??00 Points ??is is definitely the toughest of the Taxi to something gaps to make even though it's not that difficult to get the air needed to reach the rail in the center of the room from the Taxi cab jump. What's hard is actually landing on the beginning of the rail, as it can be really tough to aim for. Before launching off the taxi towards the rail try pulling a trick in the corner section for the quarter-pipe running along the back of the room to get lined up for the sequence.

6. Big Rail ??0 Points ??is one's as easy as pie, just grind the length of the rail in the center of the room going either direction.

7. Deck 2 Rail ??0 Points ??t up onto the deck above the quarter-pipe in the corner of the warehouse next to the ramps leading to the level's starting point. From there pull a trick using the left side of the upper quarter-pipe (under the small skateboarding sign) to get some speed then carefully line yourself up so that when you ollie from the edge of the deck you will land on the rail in a grind. Grind the entire length of the railing and you'll also get the Big Rail bonus! Throw some tricks and spins in between the gaps and you'll end up with a huge score.

8. Channel Gap ??0 Points ?? either side of the ramps you descend from the level's starting point there are quarter-pipes. To get the bonus ollie from one quarter-pipe to another, completely clearing either ramp between them.

9. Over The Pipe ??0 Points ??t loads of speed and from either direction jump over the entire half-pipe. Go through the Secret Room hanging above at the same time for another gap bonus, which will greatly increase your points

10. Secret Room ??0 Points ??mp through the small room hanging above the half-pipe. Clear the entire pipe at the same time to get the Over The Pipe bonus at the same time.

11. Faceplant ??0 Points ??is silly gap is actually really tough. You need to ollie from the lower quarter-pipe; right of the ramps you descended down at the beginning of the level and smash into the wall above the second, upper quarter-pipe. To get enough speed to get the gap you may have to enter one of the Stud cheats and even then you'll need to pull a trick off the quarter-pipe along the back wall.

12. Transition Grind ??0 Points ??ere are actually two different places that you can earn this gap bonus. First you can launch from the half-pipe towards where you started the level from and land in a grind on the coping of the quarter-pipes on the left and right of the ramp descending from level's starting point. You can also launch from the lower quarter-pipe right of the ramps leading up to the starting point, clear the deck and land in a grind on the coping of the upper quarter-pipe. Use slightly less speed than you used to earn the Face-plant gap bonus.

13. Kicker 2 Ledge ??0 Points ??t some speed by hitting the quarter-pipe that runs the entirety along the back of the room. Then aim for the kicker ramp between the standing water and the rail in the center of the room and launch to the ledge along the right wall with the pile of crates. Land in a grind and you'll get the gap bonus plus another multiplier for the grind.

14. Kicker Gap ??0 Points - This is the easiest gap in the level. Just ollie from one kicker ramp to the other between the rail in the center of the room and the standing water along the wall.

15. Holy Sh.. ??00 Points ??is is the toughest gap for the level, if not the entire game. As a matter of fact the only person I've seen pull this off was the lead tester for the game at the Crave booth at E3 and it was sick! To get the Holy Sh.. gap grind the entire length of coping that runs along the back wall. Obviously a lot of speed will be necessary as well as a good balance rating. To be the ultimate master try starting off the grind by launching completely over the half-pipe for the Over The Pipe gap bonus and hit the secret room for the Secret Room bonus. Land in a grind on the rail and ollie from there to the coping of the long quarter-pipe running along the back of the room.

16. Transfer ??0 Points ??lie over the hump in the quarter-pipe that runs along the back of the level. If you go slowly enough you'll crash through the pile of crates.

Hidden Videotape

Find the Hidden Videotape in the Secret Room hanging above the half-pipe. To get it just head down the ramp from the starting point and head towards the right wall and launch off the ramp at the edge of the half-pipe. Go over the half-pipe and through the glass of the Secret Room.

Spell SKATE

S ?? the middle of the Kicker Gap.

K ??nging in the air left of the skateboarding sign above the quarter-pipe running along the back wall.

A ??nging above the Taxi.

T ??nging above the center of the half-pipe, next to the Secret Room.

E ?? the deck in the back corner, right of the ramps going up to the level's starting point.

Hit Five Boxes

Box 1 - The first box is along the wall on the right at the level's starting point.

Box 2 - Find the second pile of boxes on the ledge along the right wall with the rail, right of the taxicab.

Box 3 - Knock over the third pile of boxes by slowly ollieing over the hump on the quarter-pipe that runs the back wall of the level.

Box 4 - The next pile is on the ledge by the standing water and the kicker ramps.

Box 5 - The last pile of boxes is on the deck above the quarter-pipe, right of the ramps descending from the starting spot for the level.

Level 2 ??hool, Miami

Who goes to school on the weekends? Skaters do of course, and the School level in Miami is just begging to be thrashed. Loads of ramps and obstacles are strewn throughout this schoolyard, including the game's first pools. There are over twenty different gaps to find and some of them are very tough to say the least, like the Over The Air Conditioner Gap or the Swim Team Gap. This level is huge and the variety of possibilities are endless.

Maps Note: Numbers on the maps represent gaps found throughout the level. Check the corresponding number in the text for a full description of that particular gap. Click image for larger version.

Gaps

1. Long Ass Rail ??00 Points ??om the upper area with all the planter boxes (where you start the level) grind the right ledge of the left path leading directly down to the pool area. Bust tricks on the way down to build up your multiplier and points.

2. Funbox To Rail Transfer ??0 Points ??o much speed can put you into the wall but you'll still need to be going pretty fast to reach the coping of the quarter-pipe from an ollie from the funbox. Just approach from enough distance away to get up to the right speed. Ollie from the funbox and grind the coping of the quarter-pipe for the Funbox To Rail Transfer gap bonus. For another place to get this gap bonus go to the end of the left path leading from the awning at the starting point to the pool area where you'll find a nice little jump ramp on the right. Ollie from this jump and land in a grind on the rail left of the smaller pool for another Funbox To Rail Transfer Gap Bonus.

3. Mini Gap ??0 Points ??e park gap can be earned by pulling an air over the gap between the two quarter-pipes along the wall in the playground by the funbox and the picnic table. This is easy to pull off with only average speed. For a much larger point gain you can also get this gap by grinding the coping of one quarter-pipe and ollie over the gap and land in a grind on the coping of the second quarter-pipe.

4. Funbox To Table Transfer ??0 Points ??ch like the Funbox To Rail Transfer, you will want to use the smaller funbox at the foot of the Suicidal Tendencies wall to ollie to the picnic table. Land on the picnic table in a grind for the gap bonus.

5. Playground Rail ??0 Points ??ing the funbox at either end of the Suicidal Tendencies graffiti wall, ollie up onto the top of the wall and grind the entire length in either direction. Some decent speed and a careful aim will be crucial for achieving this bonus.

6. Park gap ??0 Points ??s is almost like the Park Gap except that the gap is a bit larger. Clear the space between quarter-pipes against the wall by the large funbox at the opposite end of the Suicidal Tendencies wall from where you get the Mini Gap. Get a lot of speed for this one and be sure that your approach is at a 45-degree angle. Also like the Mini Gap, you can earn the Park Gap bonus by ollieing from a grind on the coping over the gap to the coping of the second quarter-pipe although this will be tough. It's definitely easier to do going right to left.

7. Ditch Slap ??0 Points ??ere are two places to pull this gap bonus. Using the ramps at either end of the ditch ollie completely over the ditch to the other side. Get a nice run-up for this one, as you'll need to fly for some distance.

8. Kicker Gap ??0 Points - This is one of the easiest and most obvious gap in the level. All you have to do is ollie from one kicker to the next at the foot of the steps leading up to the gymnasium.

9. Rail To Rail Transfer ??0 Points ??is one is for show-offs. Ollie and grind the ledge left of the railing lining the steps that run between the gym and the playground. Ollie from your grind on the ledge and land in a grind on the rail. If your really good you can try to ollie back to the ledge before you reach the end to get the gap bonus twice! You can also earn Handicap Rail at the same time. There is actually another place to get a Rail To Rail Transfer. Go to the large half-pipe that runs between the playground and the pool area and grind the coping at the top of the right transition when going from the pools towards the playground. When you get to the end ollie from your grind to the ledge below and land on the edge in a grind. Succeed and the gap bonus is yours. If you get the Huge Rail Bonus as well, this section can give you the highest scoring combo in the entire game as long as you throw in lots of spins and tricks between your grinds. Up to 400,000 points can be earned!

10. Handicap Rail ??0 Points ??ind the entire rail running along the steps between the gym and the Playground. Hit some tricks during your grind to get some extra multipliers and points.

11. Gimme Gap ?? Points ??u almost can't help but do this gap automatically. From the level's starting point on top of the awning skate straight ahead and ollie at the end. Land in a grind on the right hand side of the planter for the bonus. Simply landing on the planter or grinding the left side of the planter won't work, only grinding the right will get you the bonus.

12. Over The Air Conditioner ??0 Points ??u've got to get your skater's stats up or use the Stud Cheats to be able to get speed and air you'll need to clear this big gap. First get on the roof of the school and then find the air conditioner. It's the large box shaped structure by the front of the school's roof and awning. There's a huge ramp on one side, that's the one you want to use. Get your speed up by sessioning the quarter-pipe accross from the large jump ramp and aim for the air conditioner once your going fast enough. Give your best ollie at the end of the ramp to clear the air conditioner. Throw in some spins and grabs and land in a grind on the far edge to maximize your multipliers and points.

13. Dumpster Rail Gap ??0 Points ??ong the right side of the gymnasium you'll find a bunch of dumpsters scattered about. You should also notice a couple 2X4's propped up on either side of the group of dumpsters. Grind up one board and ollie at the end over the group of dumpsters and land in a grind on the other board leading back down to the ground. This gap can be accomplished from either direction.

14. Roof 2 Roof??0 Points ??st get onto the Gymnasium roof and head to the corner by the air conditioner by the front of the gym. Once there, notice the roof across the gap (right of the awning that extends down over the steps) with the three bonus coins hanging above the elbow quarter-pipe running along the corner and the walls. You'll need to get some speed by hitting a few tricks on the quarter-pipes lining the roof's perimeter and then get perfectly lined up facing the other roof between the air conditioner and the right edge of the roof. At the lip of the quarter-pipe ollie and press UP to pop out of the roof and over to the other roof. When you land on the roof immediately press DOWN to break and get your barrings and the gap bonus is yours. Now for a little extra fun find the jump ramp leading off the roof to the awning across the gap. Get some speed by doing a trick on the quarter-pipe directly across from the jump ramp and ollie off the jump ramp and land on the awning. Be sure to not get too much speed or else you will overshoot the awning.

15. Over A Footbridge ??00 Points ??e ditch running through the playground with the two foot bridges will have three medium sized jumps placed in just the right spots to launch you over them for the Over A Footbridge Gap Bonus. It'll take considerable speed to clear them however. Session the far end of the ditch, near the school building to build some speed and then go for it. Coming from that direction ollie off the left side of the ramp since the distance over the bridge is a bit shorter there.

16. Hall Pass ??00 Points ??om the starting point, on top of the awning, drop down and head down the left path leading to the pool area. Ollie onto the left ledge and half way down at the left bend in the path you will see a rail that extends from the ledge, across the path, over to the main playground. Ollie onto or just ride up to the rail and grind it across the path for the bonus. If you're really tricky then you'll want to ollie at the end and land in a grind on either the picnic table or the ledge on the left.

17. Swim Team Gap ??00 Points ??re's another tough one. Ollie from pool to pool. Sounds easy but the distance you have to cover is huge so obviously high speed will be key. Session the pool to get your speed up and then press up at the lip when you ollie to exit the pool in the direction of the other pool. It's easier to go from the smaller pool to the larger pool for some reason although you can jump in either direction. It may take you all afternoon to get this one but keep at it, it's possible!

18. Huge Rail ??00 Points ?? to the large half-pipe that runs between the playground and the pool area and grind the coping at the top of the right transition when going from the pools towards the playground. Stay on for the entire length to get the Huge Rail Gap Bonus.

19. Garbage Ollie ?? Points - Ollie over any of the dumpsters to get the Garbage Ollie Gap Bonus. The dumpsters are found on the side and in the back of the gymnasium. If you're going for style ollie to and grind the inside edge of the row of dumpsters lined up in a curve. Ollie at the end and clear the last dumpster to get the gap bonus.

20. Planter Gap - 100 points - Ollie from planter while grinding to get Planter Gap bonuses. Try to get several in a row.

Hidden Videotape

The hidden videotape is hanging above the end of the awning that extends from the front of the Gymnasium. To get there first get up onto the roof using either ramp up. Once on the roof there are two ways to get to the awning. First you can launch yourself to the top of the large, square air conditioning unit. From there grind the plank off the roof and onto the awning. The other route is to ollie from the gym roof to the roof of the building right of the awning. Doing this will also get you the Roof 2 Roof gap bonus. Now from there find the jump ramp leading off the roof to the awning across the gap. Get some speed by doing a trick on the quarter-pipe directly across from the jump ramp and ollie off the jump ramp and land on the awning. Be sure to not get too much speed or else you will overshoot the awning. Once you're on the awning using any method get some speed and ollie off the end to get the hidden tape.

Spell SKATE

S ??e S will be the first letter to grab. It's hanging above the railing that runs the length of the steps leading to the gymnasium. Grind the rail to grab it and if you grind the entire length of the rail you'll also get the Handicap Rail gap bonus.

K ??e K is the next to grab and is found between the two kicker ramps near the foot of the steps leading from the playground to the gym. Just snag it after you come off the handicap rail.

A ??ter you get the K just head straight across the playground and you'll find the A hanging above the rail to the left of the Suicidal Tendencies wall.

T ??ter you get the A head into the half-pipe section leading to the pools and at the top of the transition on the right at the end you'll find the T. Just hit a simple air to get it.

E ??nally get the E, it will be sitting on the rail between the two pools. Jus pull a simple grind on the rail to get it.

Grind Five Picnic Tables

Picnic Table 1 - The first picnic table is found below and left from the awning you start the level from in the area in front of the gym with all the planters.

Picnic Table 2 - The next one to get is at the bottom of the steps leading up to the gymnasium. Just rail slide or ride down the stairs and go left at the bottom.

Picnic Table 3 - From the second picnic table jump across the ditch and you'll find another by the left wall.

Picnic Table 4 - At the far end of the ditch is the next picnic table, by the entrance to the half-pipe section leading to the pool. Maximize your points by performing the Transfer To Table Gap Bonus at the same time.

Picnic Table 5 - The final picnic table is back by the small pool, between the pool and

Level 3 ??ll, New York

The New York mall is the first of the downhill levels, with a starting point on one end and an ending point down hill at the other end which when reached will end the level no matter how much time is left on the clock. There are lots of little areas to discover and plenty of hidden bonus gaps to find as well as some great opportunities for huge air. Some of the objectives in the career mode are tough to get however like the hard to reach hidden tape and some of the letters that spell SKATE. You'll definitely want to plan your run carefully through this one since it'll be tough to back track.

Maps Note: Numbers on the maps represent gaps found throughout the level. Check the corresponding number in the text for a full description of that particular gap. Click map for larger version.

Gaps

1. Planter Gap ??0 Points ??rn planter gap bonuses just like you did off the planters in front of the gym on the previous school level. Ollie between the planters on the first floor near the level's starting point, to the right of the elevator while grinding their edges to get up to two Planter Gap bonuses. For some reason you will not always be rewarded for a successful Planter Gap ollie, much in the same way you're not always given credit for some wall rides.

2. Fountain Gap ??0 Points ??is one can be tricky but it's a flashy one when you can pull it off. To earn the Fountain Gap bonus first get up to the second floor by the level's starting point and ollie straight ahead onto the bench/platform at the edge. From there ollie over the small gap and ride off the ramp like structure, following the arrow. With careful aim you can ollie straight through the hole in the fountain. This final maneuver through the fountain will get you the bonus. Jump from the fountain to the ramp on the other side to earn the bonus again. This can also be performed going through the fountain in the opposite direction.

3. Rail Combo ??0 Points ??rn this bonus in two different places. Get to the second floor up the escalator by the level's starting point and notice the flag pools extending off the ledge left and right of the bench/platform. For the first Rail Combo gap bonus grind the left flagpole and ollie from the end and land in a grind on the rail below, in front of the caf?For added points grind the length of the rail below for the Coffee Grind gap bonus. The second Rail Combo gap bonus is earned by grinding the right flagpole and then ollie off its end and land in a grind on the planter below. If you're slick you can also grab the letter K.

4. Coffee Grind ??00 Points ??is simple gap is earned when you grind the length of rail in front of the caf?left of the fountain. This can be performed moving in either direction.

5. The Flying Leap ??0 Points ??is one is easy. Just get up to the second floor balcony past the fountain and ollie over the ledge at the end towards the elevator area and pool below. Get some speed when you do it and a carefully aimed ollie can put you onto the lights hanging above the pool area which is where the hidden videotape for the level is found.

6. Over A 16 Stair Set ??0 Points ??t a huge amount of speed coming from the fountain area going towards the elevator area and ollie completely over the set of 16 steps along the left wall. Grab the bonus coin on your way down for even more points.

7. Going Up Gap ??0 Points ??e next two gaps can be earned when you session the elevator area. The Going Up Gap is earned by performing an ollie over the gap made by the left elevator.

8. Going Down Gap ??0 Points ??lie over the right elevator gap for the Going Down Gap.

9. Skater Escalator Gap ??0 Points ?? get this gap your going to need to get your speed stats way up or enter one of the stud cheats as a lot of speed is the only way you're going to make this jump. Past the elevator area and the pool area with the hanging lights, ollie completely over escalator with out touching it in the slightest. It is easier to make if you do not use the ramps at the top to launch from although with enough speed you can clear the escalator using the little ramps. Be sure to try to grab the bonus coin on your way down for some extra points and an extra multiplier.

10. For The Whole Atrium ??0 Points ??ere is only one gap bonus to earn in the outdoors atrium area and is only slightly tough to get. Running along either side of the atrium is a ledge, which you can grind. Get some decent speed and use the quarter-pipes that run along each wall to reach the ledge and grind it from one side of the atrium to the other for the bonus. Either side of the atrium will give you the bonus as well as performing the stunt from either direction.

11. 32 Steps Off A Mezzanine ??00 Points ??ese final two gap bonuses can be really tough to get because of the speed needed and also because you will only get one try since the end of the level is at the bottom of the stairs. Get loads of speed coming out of the outdoor atrium and ollie up to the mezzanine level with the stacked Apocalypse game boxes. From there ollie off the edge, over the 32 steps of the stairs and land safely on the ground below. Grab the bonus coins hanging above the steps for an even higher score.

12. Over A Huge 32 Stair Gap ??00 Points ??t a huge amount of speed coming out of the outdoor atrium area and give your bust ollie when you get to the top of the stairs. You'll earn the gap bonus if you manage to clear all 32 steps of the stairs and land successfully at the bottom.

Hidden Videotape

The Hidden Videotape for the Mall is the hardest to reach thus far into the game but there are two ways to actually get to it. There's the hard way and then there's the easy way. The hidden tape is hanging between the two lights at the far end hanging above the pool of water, right of the elevator area down past the fountain area. The hard way to get to it is to use the balcony along the right wall with the car, jump and billboard just before the hanging lights. The trick is to get enough speed and the correct trajectory when you ollie off the balcony in order to land on the lights. This is easier said than done, as you have to jump blind when aiming for the lights. The easier way to make it is to use the second, second floor balcony above. Get to it using the escalator and go to the opposite end to get enough of a run up. Then get some speed then ollie and land in a grind on the right ledge. This will help you get more speed and when you ollie from the end you'll be perfectly lined up to land on the light fixtures. This method will also earn you the Flying Leap Gap.

Spell SKATE

S ??e S is sitting pretty above the railing along the left wall down the final ramp from the starting place that leads into the mall. If you?the flashy sort bust a wall ride and move into a grind onto the rail before sliding into the letter.

K ??e K is sitting along the edge of the planter found to the right of the large fountain. Just grind the length of the planter to get it but if your really cool you would want to go for the Rail Combo bonus gap at the same time by dropping from a grind on the flagpole on the floor above to the planter and the letter below.

A ??en you get to the pool of water below the hanging lights, right of the elevator area you'll find the letter A. Grind the left rail across the pool of water to claim the letter at the end.

T ??rther down the mall but before the outdoor atrium you'll find the letter T sitting on the large metal sculpture. Grind either the higher or lower part of the sculpture and you'll grab the T sitting between them.

E ??e E is an easy snag hanging above the pool of water in the outdoor atrium. Just get plenty of speed coming into the atrium and launch off the small jump ramp over the pool and you get the E.

Break Five Directories

Directory 1 - From the starting point head down the ramps into the mall and head up the first escalator. The first Directory will be at the top of the escalator on the second floor.

Directory 2 - The second Directory is on the second, second story balcony past the large fountain. To get there you can either use the second escalator past the fountain or jump through the fountain to get there which will also earn you the Fountain Gap bonus.

Directory 3 - Directory number three is along the left wall beyond elevator area and the water pool below the hanging lights. There will be a large ramp left of the Directory and just beyond that there will be a large escalator.

Directory 4 -Just before the large metal sculpture before the outdoor atrium you'll find the fourth Directory.

Directory 5 - The last Directory is at the back of the atrium, just before the exit out to the final escalator and the end of the level.

Level 4 ??ndy City Slam, Chicago

This is possibly the most refined little level in the entire game. The Chicago warehouse was the first level to be created and appeared in several demos before the game ever came out. Its small size is in no way a hindrance as there is a load of stuff on every type of skateable surface in the game including a large half-pipe, a nice kidney pool and several fun quarter-pipes, jump ramps and multiple rails. Everything is perfectly spread out allowing you to transition from one trick area to another which is key to placing first in the Windy City Slam competition. To get the most out of your run for the gold be sure to take advantage of the many hidden bonus gaps scattered around the level.

Maps Note: Numbers on the maps represent gaps found throughout the level. Check the corresponding number in the text for a full description of that particular gap. Click map for larger version.

Gaps

1. HP Transfer ??0 Points ??e HP Transfer is the most obvious of the gaps for this level. To get this gap all you have to do is ollie from the small quarter-pipe against the wall, right of the large half-pipe and land on the transition of the half-pipe. This gap can also be earned going in the opposite direction but is much tougher to do because of the small size of the quarter-pipe your trying to land on and because the half-pipe launches you so high. Carefully line up your trajectory and be sure to not get too much speed as it doesn't take much to get to the quarter-pipe.

2. Over The Pipe ??0 Points ??e two key ingredients for making it cleanly over the entire half-pipe are speed and your ollie. To clear the massive distance across the flat of the half-pipe you'll need to get huge amounts of speed by pulling a big trick on the small quarter-pipe against the wall opposite the half-pipe. Then grind the funbox on your way to the half-pipe to keep the speed you just built up. You actually may not be able to get enough speed without using one of the stud cheats. At the top of the large quarter-pipe which makes the spine between it and the half-pipe press up and ollie to launch yourself. Whether you go over the entire pipe or just up into the rafters depends on the timing of your ollie. Holding the ollie button down for a long time will send you higher than you want, into the rafters. On the other hand a little tap on the ollie button for a low ollie will send you on a more forward trajectory and over to the other side of the half-pipe for the gap bonus. The largest factor is still your speed though. You need to be going insanely fast to make this gap. Also if you're really good you can land in a grind on the coping on the opposite side of the ramp.

3. Transfer ??0 Points ??lie at the top of the large quarter-pipe and press up to go over the spine and into the large half-pipe for the simple Transfer gap bonus. You can earn the Transfer Gap Bonus going in the opposite direction as well.

4. Light Grind ??0 Points ??ke the Over The Pipe gap you're going to need gobs of speed to get the Light Grind gap bonus. Basically with a load of speed head up the large quarter-pipe and bust a high ollie by pressing and holding the ollie button for sometime before releasing it at the top of the transition. Don't forget to press up at the same time and with some luck you'll make it up to the light fixture hanging above the ramp. Land on the light in a grind and you'll get the bonus. You'll also earn the Transfer bonus for your troubles. It's also possible to grab the Rafter Rail Gap Bonus as well for a huge amount of potential points. You can sometimes land this trick in a hand-plant but if you do there is no way to land it.

5. Rafter Rail ??00 Points ??u get the Rafter Rail Gap Bonus about the same way that you achieve the Light Grind Bonus but with a little more speed and a bit more of an ollie. Get lots of speed and cruise up the large quarter-pipe and bust a high ollie by pressing and holding the ollie button for sometime before releasing it at the top of the transition. Don't forget to press up at the same time and its possible to land in a grind on top of the rafters which hold the light fixtures over the half-pipe. You can grind the rafter in three different spots, on the top and the lower bars on either side of the rafter. When grinding right to left press the grind button when you get the wall and you'll smoothly transition into a wall ride back down to the ground. With enough speed your wall ride can clear the spine and you'll get a second Transfer Gap Bonus. The first Transfer Gap Bonus is earned when you first ollie to the rafter. When grinding the rafter left to right you'll have more room to bust some tricks between grinds. Try hitting the different parts of the rafter and be sure to ollie over the support beam into the pool to go the complete distance.

You can also grind the rafters over the funbox but getting to them will be supremely difficult but we have done it ourselves so it's possible. First session the half-pipe extensively to get your speed to the max and then line your self up with the support beam that extends from the bottom of the large quarter-pipe's transition. Get prepared to perform a Transfer over the spine and if you're lined up with the beam and have enough speed it is possible to launch to the top of the beam and ride it all the way to the rafters over the funbox. Ollie to and grind the rafters for the Rafter Rail Gap Bonus. You can sometimes land this trick in a hand-plant but if you do there is no way to land it.

6. Over The Rafters ??00 Points ??rform this one just like you perform the Rafter Rail but you'll need even more speed to make it completely over the rafter for the Over The Rafters Gap Bonus. Again get lots of speed and cruise up the large quarter-pipe and bust a high ollie by pressing and holding the ollie button for sometime before releasing it at the top of the transition. Don't forget to press up at the same time and with enough speed its possible to launch completely over the rafters. You will also be awarded for getting the Transfer Bonus and sometimes the Over The Pipe Gap Bonus at the same time. As well you can sometimes get the Over The Rafters Gap Bonus and the Rafter Rail Gap Bonus at the same time for some reason but is most likely a glitch of some kind.

7. Wall Gap ??0 Points ??lie completely over the tallest portion of the two level rail slide in the middle of the warehouse without touching it.

8. Pipe 2 Box Grind ??00 Points ??is one is just about impossible. To earn the Pipe 2 Box Grind Gap Bonus you'll have to ollie out of the half-pipe and land in a grind on the rail of the funbox. You need to build up an unreasonable amount of speed while in the half-pipe and then perform a perfectly timed ollie out of the half-pipe to clear the distance between the half-pipe's spine and the funbox on the other side of the room. To be successful you will definitely need to enter the Stud cheat and will also need to perfect your fastplant which is performed by double tapping up and then pressing the ollie button. You will probably be at this one for hours.

9. Over The Box ??0 Points ??t some speed and ollie completely over the funbox between the half-pipe and the back wall without touching it at all. This is really not that tough as long as you remember to ollie just before the funbox and is the easiest when done going back and forth between the quarter-pipe along the back wall and the large quarter-pipe up against the half-pipe.

10. Walkway Rail Transfer ??0 Points ??rst find the set of double metal rails next to the pool that rest between the two small jump ramps and notice the walkway above along the back wall. Use the quarter-pipe in the corner to bust an air up to the walkway. Unfortunately it's really tough to land up there without bailing. Once you're up there get your back in the corner and head down the walkway towards the other end. Crouch for an ollie to build up the most speed possible and immediately after you pass the beam on the right make a 90-degree right turn and ollie off the ledge towards the rails. With a little luck you will land in a grind and earn the Walkway Rail Transfer Gap Bonus.

11. Whoop Gap ??00 Points ??t some speed by pulling a trick off the quarter-pipe in the corner and then approach the double metal rails between the two small jump ramps straight on. To earn the Whoop Gap Bonus Ollie at the first ramp and clear the second one past the length of the rails without grinding them. This gap bonus can be earned from either direction.

12. Pool Rail Transfer ??00 Points ??ssion the pool to get up your speed and then ollie out of it towards either the quarter-pipe that runs along the wall to the corner or the double metal rails between the two small kicker ramps. Land on the coping of the quarter-pipe or the first metal rail in a grind to earn the Pool Rail Transfer Gap Bonus. Getting the correct 45-degree angle to reach the quarter-pipe can be a little tough. Try aiming for the left corner of the pool when you're ready to pop out for the transfer to cut the right angle to the coping of the ramp.

13. Pool Hip ??0 Points ??is one is pretty simple. Just jump into the kidney shaped pool and session it for a little speed. Press up at the lip with an ollie at the hip that juts into the middle of the pool; clear the flat area with the support beam in the ground and land back inside the pool on the other side of the hip.

14. Pool 2 Walkway ??0 Points ??ssion the inside of the pool to build some speed and then exit the pool, with a good ollie towards the upper walkway that runs the length of the wall from the pool to the half-pipe. Just land on the ledge to get the gap bonus but land in a grind on the edge of the ledge to make it look cool.

15. Acid Drop ??00 Points ??l you have to do to get the Acid Drop gap is to drop from the upper walkway that runs the length of the wall from behind the pool to the half-pipe down into the pool. The trick is that you cannot ollie from the walkway, you can only ride off it and with enough speed you can make it into the pool. Session the half-pipe a bit to build up speed before you get up onto the walkway with a grind or ollie. Even though you can't ollie you can still bust a trick on the way down.

Level 5 ??wntown, Minneapolis

This massive level consists of a few blocks of downtown Minneapolis. As a matter fact things are so spread out your going to have to be quick if you want to shred every area and complete a couple of the tape objectives in a single run in Career Mode. The fountain area is a blast to session but it?he mildly secret way of getting up to the roofs of some of the buildings which yields the most fun. As far as gaps go there are some tough ones but not totally impossible like some of the hidden gaps on some of the other levels. This is the first level where you have to worry about moving cars; in this case taxi cabs. Try jumping over the moving cabs and press the grind button to pull off car plants, which can earn you 1000 points.

Maps Note: Numbers on the maps represent gaps found throughout the level. Check the corresponding number in the text for a full description of that particular gap. Click image for larger version.

Gaps

1. Dirty Rail ??00 Points ??is is one of the toughest gaps for this level. Making this gap requires a huge amount of speed and some excellent aim. Basically to earn the Dirty Rail bonus you'll need to ollie from one a couple different spots (there may be more) and land in a grind on left railing leading into the fountain area found at the intersection with the alley you start the level in. Ollie from the ramp at the bottom of the hill with road construction, across the street from TV store. Land in a grind on the left rail leading into the fountain area for the bonus. Also try this from the billboard in the alley you start the level in. As well try grinding the traffic lights to impress the chicks.

2. Death Grind ??00 Points ??is is also a tough one. You can get to the rail leading into the fountain area by launching from the roof with the small pool. The jump will be blind and a load of speed is essential to get all the way to the rail. Build up speed by grinding the rails around the perimeter of the roof and be sure to use the jump ramp provided on the roof to ollie from. This gap can also be made by launching from the bowl on top of the larger roof. Session the bowl to get your speed up then make a blind jump from the corner of the bowl that points directly at the fountain and the rail your shooting for. With some luck and a few mid air adjustments a skilled player can reach the rail for the Death Grind bonus.

3. Kicker 2 Edge ??0 Points ??tually, this gap is pretty difficult to resist. From the starting point for the level in the alley use any of the kicker ramps to ollie up to the ledge of the roof of construction awning on either side of the alley or the raised street that runs along the back. Land in a grind and you'll get Kicker 2 Edge gap bonus.

4. Kicker Gap ??0 Points ??lie from kicker ramp to kicker ramp in the alley you start the level in. Basic.

5. Roof 2 Roof ??00 Points ??rst make your way up to the roof with the large pool and greenhouse thingy. There are actually a few different ways to get up there besides the standard route of using the car transport trailer to launch into the hidden tunnel which takes you to the roof. You can also use the large jump ramp near the car transport to launch into the tunnel that runs over the street and connects to the roof. You can also try to launch to the roof using quarter-pipe that runs along the back of the building near the car transport and large jump ramp.

Once up on the roof session the pool a bit to get your speed up and use the ramp in the opening in the transition facing the smaller roof and give your best ollie to clear the entire alley, over to the other roof. If you make it, you'll get the bonus. This will also earn you the hidden tape for the level if your aim is on target.

6. Transfer ??0 Points ??rst get to the long quarter-pipe, divided by the hip running along the back of the building with the large pool on the roof at the back of the level. Ollie over the hip by pressing Up at the lip and land on the other side to earn the Transfer gap bonus.

7. Billboard Grind ??0 Points ??rst get up to the large roof with the large pool using your favorite method and then enter the pool. Now keep your speed to a minimum and ollie through the space in transition, over the street under construction and land in a grind on the rail at the foot of the hanging video screen. If you try this gap with too much speed you will crash into the video screen and fail to get the gap bonus. To better your chances of not smashing into the video screen when you make the jump try to take the jump at an angle moving left to right.

8. Glass Gap ??0 Points ??r this gap you have to first find the office building in the back of the level. It is found left of the car carrier and is at the top of a two level set of ramps and platforms which lead up to it. To get the glass gap you must get your speed up by pulling some tricks off the local half-pipes and then ollie towards the front of the office building from the second level ramp and crash through the glass without touching the ground first. The easiest way to do this gap is to ollie from the side and enter the office building at an angle which is a much shorter distance to cover. Once inside the office building be sure to ollie to and grind the rail hanging from the ceiling.

9. Big Ass ??00 Points ??e Big Ass gap bonus is just like the Glass Gap bonus except that you must ollie from the lower ramp leading up to the office building and crash through the glass without touching the ground. This can be really tough to get as maximum speed and a perfectly timed massive ollie is required. It may actually be necessary to enter the max stats cheat so you can get all the speed you possibly can. To make it easier try coming at the front of the office from the side and launch from the ramp on the left or right to make the distance much shorter. Earning the Big Ass gap will also get you the Glass Gap at the same time.

10. T 2 T Gap ??0 Points ??is one is easy. To earn the T 2 T Gap bonus just use the car carrier at the back of the level to launch through the glass into the secret tunnel which leads to the roof.

11. Secret Tunnel Entrance ??0 Points ??e the large ramp in the middle of the street between the car carrier and the secret tunnel hanging between the buildings to launch to and land in the tunnel after crashing through its glass wall. This one's not very tough.

12. Tunnel Gap ??00 Points ??is one is a bit tougher than the Secret Tunnel Entrance Gap but performed the same way only you will want to get a lot more speed. Ollie from the large ramp and go through both glass walls of the Secret tunnel hanging over the street without touching the floor of the tunnel and land on the street on the other side. It's also possible to get the Secret Tunnel Entrance gap at the same time for some reason.

13. Over The Tunnel ??00 Points ??is one is the toughest of all the Secret Tunnel Gaps. Get as much speed as possible by sessioning the local quarter-pipes and then using the large ramp, jump completely over the secret tunnel hanging above the street without touching it. The max stats cheat may be necessary to be able to pull this one off.

14. Sucky Room Gap ??00 Points ??rst get up onto the large roof with the big pool and greenhouse using your preferred method. Then once your up there you will want to use the ramp at the edge of the roof at the far end of the greenhouse to ollie completely over the street and crash through the glass and land in the room on the other side. Only moderate speed is necessary for this one.

15. Car Ollie ??0 Points - This one is as simple as it gets. Just find any parked car get a little speed and ollie its length or width.

16. Wimpy Gap ??0 Points ??e any of the four planters scattered around the fountain area to ollie out of the fountain area. Completely clear the sloping brick bits to earn the Wimpy Gap bonus.

17. BS Grind ??0 Points ?? Grind stands for bus stop grind and to earn this bonus ollie from one of the kick ramps on either side of any of the bus stops and land on the bus stop's roof or bench in a grind. Don't go too fast as it's easy to accidentally completely clear a bus stop.

18. BS Gap - 500 Points - Get a butt load of speed and using one of the small kicker ramps ollie completely over a bus stop without your wheels touching the roof.

19. Cheesy Deck Gap - 50 Points ?? the large wedge shaped platform bordered by large quarter-pipes near the fountain area you will want to ollie the short end of the platform.

20. Deck Gap - 250 Points - If you can ollie over middle section of the large wedge shaped platform bordered by large quarter-pipes you will earn the Deck Gap.

21. Burly Deck Gap ??00 Points ??e other two deck gaps are fairly easy to get but the Burly Deck Gap can be a real bitch. Build up loads of speed by pulling tricks along the quarter-pipe that runs along the street in the back of the level and then aim for the widest part of the deck by the lawn chairs and railing. Head up the transition of the quarter-pipe at a bit of an angle, aiming slightly towards the middle of the deck and ollie at the lip while pressing Up. With some luck you will clear the entire wide end of the deck and earn the bonus. You can also use the part of the quarter-pipe by the widest part of the deck to reach the small roof with the pool.

22. Rail 2 Rail Transfer ??0 Points ??re's another tough gap to try. Over by the large wedge shaped deck lined by the large quarter-pipes you will find a pair of rails running the width of the decks widest point. To get the Rail 2 Rail Transfer gap bonus first build up tons of speed. Try sessioning the fountain area for bit and then exit towards large deck and rail leading up the widest spot of the wedge shaped deck. If you can keep your speed up ollie onto the rail, landing in a grind. Give your best ollie from the very tip of far end of the rail and if you have enough speed you can make it all the way to the rail on the other side. If you can land on the rail in a grind the bonus will be yours.

23. Truck Gap ??0 Points ??re's a simple one. Just use the jump ramps on either side of the truck with the empty trailer bed along the wall back by the fountain to clear the truck's bed and land on the ramp on the other side to get Truck Gap Bonus. To get the Truck Gap bonus in style get more speed than is necessary and wall ride the wall above the truck bed and land safely on the other side.

24. Kicker 2 Street ??0 Points ?? get the Kicker 2 Street gap bonus just use the ramps at the back end of the alley to ollie to the street above. What a snap!

Hidden Videotape

The hidden videotape is hanging between the two buildings, over the alleyway you start the level in. To get it just get onto the large roof and session the large pool there to build up speed. Once you're going fast enough, launch through the gap towards the smaller roof and if you hit the jump straight on you'll grab the videotape.

Spell SKATE

S ??e S is an easy score if you try not to get too fancy in the process. Use the kicker ramp right in front of you when you start the level to get to the roof construction hallway. From there ollie from the end and land in a grind on the rail of the hanging billboard. Ollie from the end of the rail in a straight line and if you get enough air you'll fly right through the S. If want to get fancy, land in a grind on the roof of the construction hallway, ollie to and land in a grind on the rail below the billboard and then ollie through the S and land in a grind on the top of the quarter-pipe across the street. Also try grabbing the S and landing in a grind on the horizontal portion of the light post.

K ?? your actually having a hard time finding the letter K look for it hanging dead center above the fountain.

A ??e A is found hanging above the quarter-pipe left of the car carrier, a very easy grab.

T ??e the large jump ramp or the car carrier to enter the secret tunnel and grab the T, from the portion of the tunnel that hangs above the street.

E ??nally find the E in the middle of the rail, above the dead end of the alleyway you start in. Use the large jump ramps on the street above the alley to ollie to the rail.

Bust Five No Skating Signs

No Skating Sign 1 - To get the first No Skating Sign head into the fountain area from the alleyway and the sign will be in the middle of the fountain area's entrance.

No Skating Sign 2 - The second No Skating Sign is easy to snag on the way out of the fountain area. Find it in the middle of the other walkway leading out of the fountain area towards the large wedge shaped platform thing.

No Skating Sign 3 - The third No Skating Sign is in the middle of the wedge shaped platform across the street from the fountain area.

No Skating Sign 4 - The fourth No Skating Sign is along the street that runs above the back of the alley you start in. Just ollie from the alley to the street and then just cross the street to run into the sign.

No Skating Sign 5 - The last sign to trash is in the back of the level, in front of the office building.

Level 6 ??wnhill Jam, Phoenix

This is easily the most difficult level to master in the entire game. This is another point to point downhill course much like the Mall in New York. There are actually only three gaps to find and not that tough to get once you know where they are. It's getting all the letters to spell SKATE, hitting all the waterspouts and finding the hidden videotape that are tough. Actually the Hidden Videotape for this level is the hardest tape to get in the entire game. First you have to find it in its out of the way location and then to actually grab it you'll have to make a series of hair raising jumps perfectly while you keep up your speed. At first the Downhill Jam is extremely daunting but after several rides it can become one of your favorites. The half-pipe in the dam is the biggest in the game and is the easiest place to for any character to pull the 900.

Gaps

1. Huge Water Hazard Gap ??00 Points ??mply put, to get the Huge Water Hazard Gap you need to ollie completely over the water near the beginning of the level without toughing the pair of rails that span it. The trick to pulling it off is a bit more complicated to explain however. There actually a couple different ways to do it, with one definitely easier to do than the other but both require mad speed and an excellent ollie rating. The easiest way to pull this off is to start from the starting point at the top of the hill and build up loads of speed. Grind the little ledge that you hit if you stay perfectly straight to get lined up for the ramp left of the water gap and the rails. Then half way up the ramp veer off to the right and bust a huge ollie. Land at the foot of the pair of rails on the other side of the gap for the bonus. This can also be done from a straight ollie without using the large jump ramp but is much more difficult. Just build up a ton of speed and ollie from the ledge to the right of the rails, left of the jump.

2. Ski Jump ?? ??5 Points ??st the dam half-pipe section, past the first large Mountain Dew billboard on the right use the small jump to reach the top of the pillar holding the second Mountain Dew sign in the center of the course. From there cruise down the long ramp going down the back side and follow it underground and then give your best ollie from the tip of the ski jump style end of the ramp. Now for each 25 feet you fly you will get 25 points. The maximum distance possible is 225 feet. As well, each 25 feet is registered as another gap and multiplier which makes this gap totally worth it to get. Obviously the best way to get this gap is to start from the top of the ramp and get as much speed as possible and a high ollie rating will only help you fly farther.

3. Neversoft Electric Company Gap ??00 Points ??is one can be a little annoying to try and get at first but once you nail the angle of approach, grabbing the Neversoft Electric Company Gap will be a snap. Basically to get this gap you need to grind the length of rail running along the top of the upper most part of the last building along the right at the very end of the course. To get up there session the average sized quarter-pipes on either side of the pool of water near the end (before you descend to the finish line) and when you have enough speed head towards the transition right of the Electric Company building. About five feet left of the building hit the quarter-pipe at a 45-degree angle going towards the left (towards the building) and give your best ollie. At the apex of the air be sure to press and hold the grind button. If you get it right you'll land on the upper rail in a grind. Continue in a grind to the end to get the bonus. Ollie again from the end of the rail and land in a grind on the rail at the bottom at the finish line to earn this gap bonus a second time!

Hidden Videotape

This by far the most difficult hidden Videotape to find and get in the entire game. You're going to have to have some serious skills a bit of luck to actually grab the tape but here's how you get to it. The tape is found on the top of the pillar in the middle of the course at the end of the large dam half-pipe section. To get to it, first get up to high rail that spans the beginning of the half-pipe section by using the ramp on the left just before the dam. Ride the rail in a grind to the top deck of the right side of the half-pipe. You'll come off the rail with a load of speed so you may want to slow down for the next section, which requires careful aim. You can also go balls out and bust an air on the quarter-pipe up on the deck and when you land quickly get lined up to hit the next rail that spans the other end of the dam half-pipe. Once on the deck on the left side of the course after the half-pipe keep your speed up and ollie the gap using the quarter-pipe along the wall. Stay on the ledge, using the rail along the edge to keep you from falling off and ollie up onto the rock section at the end of the path. From there go right on the rock section with the Mountain Dew billboard on your left and follow it back across the course. Skate onto the cement path past the rock section and perform another ollie over the gap using the quarter-pipe along the wall to get the air you need. Finally follow the path going right and prepare to ollie from the right half of the ledge. You will at least need moderate speed to make the distance to the pillar with the four rails and the hidden tape. Be sure to land in a grind and the tape will be yours.

Spell SKATE

S ??om the starting point cruise down the hill, past the small fun-boxes and high double rail on the right and launch off the first large ramp left of the massive water gap spanned by the double rails. Only a minimal ollie is required to reach the S hanging in mid air just past the ramp.

K ??st the three large ramps, right of the massive gap with the double rails and past the rock arch there is a ramp leading to some high double rails on the right side of the course just before the dam section. Ollie to and land in a grind on the left rail to catch the K.

A ??e A lies at the top of the right side of the top of the dam half-pipe section. To get there use the rail at the beginning of the dam that starts on the left to cross over to the top of the right side deck. From there use the quarter-pipe along the right wall to grab the letter A in the middle.

T ??u can't help but to grab the T when you launch off the ski jump.

Use the ski jump to get the T.

E ??nally get the letter E the same time you get the Neversoft Electric Company Gap. Session the quarter-pipes at the end by the small pond just before the hill leading down to the finish line to get your speed up. Then aim for the right quarter-pipe at a 45 degree angle at it's end, before the building and ollie to the rail at the top of it. Grind the length of the rail and get the E about two thirds of the way down.

Open Five Valves

Valve 1 - Just down the hill from the level's starting point ollie up to the first set of high double rails on the right and grind one of them to the end to open the first valve.

Valve 2 - The second valve is in the center, at the top of the second large jump running along the left side of the huge water hazard with the two rails spanning it. Just go off the jump to open the valve.

Valve 3 - All you have to do to open the third valve is grind the rail high at the beginning and above the half-pipe in the dam that takes you over to the right deck where you get the A.

Valve 4 - The fourth valve is past the dam section, past the Mountain Dew billboard on the right over the water, at the top of the stone pillar with another Mountain Dew billboard. The same stone pillar that if you ride down it's back side will send you off the ski jump. Get a lot of speed and use a massive ollie on the small jump before the stone pillar and land on top of the pillar to open the valve.

Valve 5 - The last valve is attached to the side of the wall at the very end of the level. Past the pool of water and left of the Neversoft Electric Company building take the slope on the left that goes down towards the finish line and wall ride the right wall on the way down and you should open the fifth valve.

Level 7 ??phalt Annihilation, Burnside, Portland

Despite being the smallest level in the game, Burnside in Portland is by far one of the most fun levels to session in the entire game. Based on the real Burnside park located under a freeway, this level has some truly unique sections to thrash. You've got just about every type of surface to skate including a couple of sick bowls. However there very few gaps to discover, seven to be exact. Most of the gaps are easy to pull off and none of them are super tough except for maybe the Triple Rail gap.

Gaps

1. Triple Rail ??00 Points ??e Triple Rail can be pretty tough to hit but the feeling you get when you do manage to pull it off is incredible. To get the triple rail ollie to and grind the three parking barriers along the back of the level, on the deck above the U shaped quarter-pipe. Ollie between the barriers and land in a grind on each one. The easiest way to do it is to go right to left and at the corner be sure to ollie at an angle to get to the next barrier. The really tough part is having enough time on each barrier to prepare for the next ollie. Only moderate speed is needed to complete this gap.

2. Bridge Gap ??00 Points ??ere are a several different ways to get this fun gap of jumping over the horizontal bridge girder without touching it. The most obvious and easiest is to use the lone funbox and get some speed by hitting the quarter-pipe that boarders the larger pool and ollie off the funbox towards the girder, aiming for the space between the support girders. You can also get the Bridge Gap by performing an ollie out of the eyeball bowl towards the girder. There are also some very small ramps next to the eyeball bowl that will allow you to clear the bridge girders if you have enough speed approaching them. Another way to make this gap is to use the quarter-pipe near the start of the Triple Rail Gap section. Get some speed and launch off the quarter-pipe at a 45-degree angle and with some luck you'll clear the girder but landing is a different story all together. We have actually never landed it. Sometimes you can also get the bridge grind if you land in a grind on the far edge of the girder after going partially through it.

3. Bridge Grind ??0 Points ??is is performed the same way the Bridge Gap is performed only you want to land on the edge of the girder in a grind rather than flying over it without touching it. Try it from the end of the quarter-pipe by the level's starting point for some variation.

4. Over Da Pool ??0 Points ??r some strange reason the Over Da Pool is not always given for performing an ollie completely over the eye-ball bowl. We've done it by performing an ollie from the dark grate, right of the vert wall at the foot of the pool. You may be able to get this gap from other directions as well but again for some reason the bonus is not always given. You may have to jump over the pool directly down its middle to get the bonus.

5. Vert Wall Gap ??0 Points ??is one's not very tough, just session the eye-ball bowl to get your speed and momentum up and ollie out of the bowl towards the vert wall that boarders one side of the bowl. If you clear it without touching it and manage to land on the other side without bailing the Vert Wall Bonus will be yours.

6. Twinkie Transfer ??0 Points ??tice the small hump in the center of the level? Use it to ollie all the way into the pool in the back left corner of the level. You must ollie from the transition of the hump and land completely in the pool to get the bonus. As well you may also receive an extra gap bonus for your troubles.

7. Transfer ??0 Points ??l the Transfer Bonuses are performed around the pool in the back corner of the level. Basically ollie into and out of the pool going in any direction to get Transfer Bonuses. To get two Transfer Bonuses in a row ollie at an angle when going towards the bowl and ollie over the lip for one transfer bonus and while still in the air continue over the right edge of the pool and land back in the main flat area by the little hump to get the transfer bonus a second time.

Level 8 ??reets, San Francisco

The various levels in the game are incredible but the San Francisco level is THE ultimate. Every type of skateable surface is thrown at you and the steps section of the Embarcadero is amazing if you know how to work it. There are loads of hidden away little areas to explore and even some secret spots to discover. The level is really spread out, even more so than the Minneapolis level, so getting from one spot to another will require some travelling. Most of the skate spots in San Francisco are based on real skate spots that still exist today while others are long gone. There's the Lombard Steet hill, the Hill in China Town, Hubba Hideout and no one can resist the steps and fountain of the Embarcadero. Keep your eyes open though, there are cable cars and hippie buses driving around and they stop for no one. However you can bust car plants off them if you've got good timing.

Gaps

1. Hook Rail ??0 Points ??er at the Hubba Hideout with the bridge and the half-pipe get up onto the bridge. Then to earn the Hook Rail Bonus grind the entire length of the green railing that lines the ramp leading back down to the ground along the back wall.

2. Hubba Ledge ??0 Points ??is easy gap is earned by grinding the entire length of either ledge that runs the length of the bridge at the Hubba Hideout. You only get the bonus if you grind the ledge in the down hill direction though and you can only catch the inside edge.

3. Hubba Gap ??0 Points ?? the ground on either side of the bridge over at the Hubba Hideout you'll find some kicker ramps. Get loads of speed by busting some tricks on either the half-pipe or quarter-pipe at opposite ends of the area and then use the kicker ramps to completely ollie over the bridge.

4. Fountain Gap ??0 Points ??is gap can be tough but is crucial for eventually getting the hidden videotape. There's a slot that runs along the back of the water fountain in the Embarcadero area with all the steps. Get a bunch of speed by sessioning the quarter-pipe that lines the back corner by the police car (where you get the Bendy's Lip bonus) and then aim for the Embarcadero plaza and the fountain. You may need to enter the hyped up stats code to get a speed rating high enough. Prepare to ollie into the slot as you approach. Once in the slot get ready to ollie again and keep your speed up. At the end where the path in the slot rises like a jump, give your best ollie and if you have enough speed you'll make it all the way to the ledge of the building and earn yourself the Fountain Gap.

5. Bendy?ip ??0 Points ??is gap bonus involves the quarter-pipe that runs along the back corner of the level by the police car, behind the fountain in the Embarcadero, right of Hubba Hideout. For the Bendy's Lip Gap Bonus grind the entire lip of the quarter-pipe from beginning to end going in any direction.

6. Ramp 2 Ramp ??0 Points ??ght of Bendy's Lip is another pair of quarter-pipes along the wall with a deck with coping in between them. Just ollie from one quarter-pipe and land on the other to get the Ramp 2 Ramp Gap bonus.

7. Rail 2 Rail ??0 Points ??rst find the rails in front of the glass that you break through to find the hidden bowl area and the letter E under the clock tower. Now with a lot of speed ollie from a grind on one rail and land a grind on the other.

8. Down The Spiral ??00 Points ??sically the Down The Spiral Gap Bonus is earned by grinding down the entire ledge that runs the length of the spiral ramp in the corner of the level. To get to the top of the spiral ramp you can just skate up it or you can use the secret room entrance. To get to the secret room use the ramps right of the spiral ramp to launch to the deck above and then go left through the glass into the room. Exit out the grated door on the left and you'll be at the top of the spiral. To get the bonus you must begin your grind from the top of the spiral.

9. Backwoods Ledge ??0 Points ?? get the Backwoods Ledge Gap bonus ollie to the right side of the ledge behind the trees that takes you to the secret room and land in a grind. Continue in a grind going left until you enter the secret room leading to the spiral ramp for the bonus. You can also earn the gap bonus by going the other direction just as long as you grind the entire ledge.

10. Planter Gap ??0 Points ??nd the planters by the pagoda and ollie completely over either of them going lengthways to get the Planter Gap bonus.

11. Pagoda Gap ??00 Points ??king this gap will also get you the Hidden Videotape but just getting to where you actually jump through the pagoda is a process in itself. The whole thing starts with jumping into the slot that runs along the back of the fountain with enough speed to make it to the second story ledge on the building next to the fountain. From there follow the ledge around to the left and ollie the gap at the end to the ledge on the adjacent building. From there continue along the ledge to the third building and go left up the sloping ledge and turn right at the top. Continue around the next right corner and up the final slope to the top of the building. Once on top of the roof cruise up the large ramp with as much speed as possible and give your best ollie from the end. With some luck you will fly all the way to the pagoda in the Embarcadero and crash through its roof. If you make it, the Pagoda Gap bonus as well as the hidden tape will be yours.

12. C Block Gap ??0 Points ??ing the kicker ramp in front of it, ollie completely over the circular set of steps in the center of the Embarcadero. For added points land in a grind on the last step on the opposite side.

13. Over The Seven ??0 Points ??t onto the very top of the large set of steps in the Embarcadero and cruise towards the pagoda. At the end ollie over the steps and you'll get the Over The Seven Gap bonus.

14. Spine Gap ??00 Points ??rst find the section of five foot tall cement barrier that runs between the back of the Embarcadero area and the street. This is the spine and there are several ways to jump over it. You can jump from the street into the Embarcadero over the spine using the only kicker ramp butted up against the spine in its middle between two planters (there are also two quarter-pipes but they won't work). With enough speed and a big enough ollie you need to jump over the spine and clear the steps of the Embarcadero to get the bonus. You can land in a grind on the last step and still get the bonus. The second way to get the Spine Gap Bonus is to use the kicker ramp inside the Embarcadero facing towards the spine, left of the pagoda to launch over the spine. You can also get the bonus from the pagoda. Get mad speed by hitting a nearby quarter-pipe and ollie into the porch of the pagoda and launch from its raised platform over the spine and over the grass on the other side. You will only get the Spine Gap Bonus if you completely clear the grass when jumping from the pagoda.

15. Gonz Gap ??0 Points ?? get the Gonz Gap you have to first get up onto the spine moving right to left from the pagoda towards the fountain. When the spine bends to the right ollie from the spine (preferably from a grind) and land on the flat top of the stairs section.

16. Ramp 2 Ramp ??0 Points ?? the top of the hill in Chinatown you'll find a pair of quarter-pipes on either side of a doorway. Just ollie from one quarter-pipe to the next to claim the Ramp 2 Ramp Gap Bonus.

17. Porch Gap ??0 Points ??om the quarter-pipes at the top of the Chinatown hill you will notice an alley going off to the left. Take this alley and ollie from the ledge, claiming the bonus icon, clearing the lower ledge and land on the street below to get the Porch Gap Bonus.

18. Street Gap ??0 Points ??ain get to the quarter-pipes at the top of the hill in Chinatown but now take the right path along the ledge. Grind the rail if you want along the ledge but to get the Street Gap Bonus ollie through the glass at the end and completely clear the street, landing one the sidewalk on the far side of the street, right of the pair of cop cars.

19. Oversized 8 Set ??0 Points ??ght of the entrance to Chinatown is an office building with a large set of stairs leading up to its main entrance. To get the Oversized 8 Set Gap Bonus you need to completely ollie over the set of stairs without touching a single step. The best way to get enough speed to clear all the steps is to take the alley up at the top of the Chinatown hill that gets you the Porch Gap Bonus and from the street below use the ramp to ollie up to the porch of the office building. From there continue off the steps, giving your best ollie.

20. Handi Gap ??00 Points ??ft of Porkers Donut Hole shop at the foot of Lombard Street you'll find a handi-cap ramp leading up to the office building next door. Left and right of the handi-cap ramp you'll find quarter-pipes. Use these quarter-pipes to launch over the handi-cap ramp and land on the other quarter-pipe on the other side. The gap bonus can be earned going either direction.

21. Lombard Gap ??00 Points ??e Lombard Gap happens to be one of the toughest to get for this level. You'll need to get a crazy amount of speed built up by sessioning the quarter-pipes at the top of Lombard Street at the level's starting point and then when going fast enough carefully aim for the jump/planter at the top of Lombard Street along the right. Give your best ollie from the jump/planter and with some luck you need to completely jump the length of Lombard Street and land on the street below to get the bonus.

22. Lombard ledge ??0 Points - Grind the length of curb that runs along the left side of Lombard Street from the top to the bottom. Ollie to the curb and land in a grind at the very top of the hill and ride off the end to get the bonus.

23. Acid Drop In ??00 Points ??t over to the half-pipe in Hubba Hideout and get up onto the ledge on the left side of the transition against the wall of the building. Once on top of the ledge re-enter the half-pipe with an ollie to get the Acid Drop In Gap Bonus. Try re-entering the half-pipe with a wall ride or from a grind on the ledge for a little extra style.

Hidden Videotape

Making the Pogoda Gap will get you the Hidden Videotape but getting to where you jump through the pagoda and grab the hidden tape is very tough.

Spell SKATE

S ??e S is located at the high end of the bridge in Hubba Hideout. Either use the kicker ramps to launch up to the bridge or use the long ramp that leads up to the building the bridge is attached to.

K ?? the bottom of the Lombard Street hill and to the right of the donut shop there is a display window about one story up. Crash through the glass and grab the K. To get to the display window there are a couple of ways to go. First you can start from the level's starting point and skate down the ledges along the right side of Lombard Street. Don't take it too fast however since it's easy to fly off at the end and not make the tight turn to crash through the display window on the last ledge. The second way to reach the ledge is to use the quarter-pipe at the donut shop or ollie up onto the roof of the donut shop.

A ??e A is an easy grab hanging between the quarter-pipes at the top of the hill in Chinatown.

T ??e T is hiding in the secret room that leads to the spiral ramp. To get to it use the ramps provided and ollie to and grind the ledge behind the trees right of the spiral ramp moving right to left. Crash through the glass at the end into the secret room. Ollie in the middle of the room to get the T. You cannot enter the secret room using the spiral ramp.

E ??ash through the window below the clocktower and session the backside of the bowl inside to get the E hanging high above.

Wreck Five Cop Cars

Cop Car 1 - The first Cop Car is right behind you when you start the level. Just turn around and ollie and grind the cruiser to wreck it and quickly move on.

Cop Car 2 - The second Cop Car is parked in front of the donut shop at the bottom of the Lombard Street hill.

Cop Car 3 - Cop Car number three is located over by the quarter-pipe in the corner where you get the Bendy's Lip Gap bonus. The Car is to the left of the quarter-pipe.

Cop Car 4 And 5- The last two Cop Cars are parked together at the foot of the Chinatown hill. Very easy to spot.

Level 9 ??ncrete Conspiracy, Roswell

This is it, the final level in the game! This happens to be Tony Hawk's favorite level and it's not hard to see why. It's all about half-pipes in Roswell but there are also a few not so hidden secrets to check out. Most of the gaps for this level are relatively easy compared to the gaps found in other levels but that's not to say that a couple of the gaps can be a bit frustrating.

Gaps

1. Roll In Channel Gap ??00 Points ??rst find the large roll-in ramp you start the level on and then using the half-pipes next to it build up some speed. Once your going top speed pull an air off the coping at a 45 degree angle towards the roll-in ramp and land on the ramp on the other side clearing the roll-in portion. This can be done going either direction.

2. B House Rail ??00 Points ??nd the long rail with a raised rail in the middle up on the deck of the quarter-pipe that lines the side of the level. From the level's starting point go left onto the deck of the quarter-pipe and follow it around to the multi-level rail. Grind the whole thing going any direction, (both levels) for the gap bonus. The tricky part to earning the B House Rail is having just the right speed and starting your grind right from the start of the first rail, where it gently slants down to the deck. It is nearly impossible to ollie to the second, raised portion of the rail if you ollie onto it too far into it. Once you ollie to the middle portion just continue to grind and drop to the last section and land in a grind to complete the gap.

3. MB Emerson Grind ??00 Points ??is is a tough one because of the huge amount of speed you need to make the gap and the difficulty maintaining your speed while you get to the launching point. You earn the MB Emerson Gap bonus by jumping from the top of the large quarter-pipe on top of the deck in the center of the level, across the gap below and land in a grind on the rail where you earn the B House Rail on the deck next to the fence. The best advice to give is to start your run from the completely opposite side of the level and use the small quarter-pipe to build some speed and then use the rails that take you up to the top of the deck. Once on the deck and if you're lucky you'll have enough speed to make the gap. You also may want to try a fast-plant to give yourself a little extra distance.

4. Channel Gap ??0 Points ??e Channel Gap can be earned in two different spots. The first place is near the entrance to the one of the semi-secret spots behind the sliding green doors with the small bowl and spaceship, tank and jeep behind the lasers. To earn the Channel Gap, ollie over the entrance to the small bowl area between the large metal half-pipe and the large wooden quarter-pipe on the left side of the entrance. Perform this gap going in either direction.

The second spot to earn the Channel Gap is actually in the semi-secret spot with the bowl. Session the bowl to gain a bit of speed and then ollie over the roll-out section. Again any direction will work. You can combine the this gap with the Pool Grind gap by grinding the perimeter of the bowl and then ollie over the roll-out gap, landing in a grin on the coping on the other side.

5. Pool Grind ??00 Points ?? the semi-secret area behind the sliding green doors between the large metal half-pipe and the large wooden quarter-pipe you'll find a bowl. Completely grind the perimeter of the pool to earn the gap bonus.

6. High Deck Gap ??00 Points ??is is another tough gap but again, not impossible. Get mad speed by sessioning the half-pipes on either side of the large deck in the center of the arena and when your going fast enough, press UP when you ollie on the deck side of the half-pipe. For the bonus clear the entire deck and land in the half-pipe on the other side.

7. Deck Grind ??0 points ?? earn the Deck Grind Bonus you'll need to grind the rail on the deck in the center of the level and the rail below it to the end. However it's not quite that simple. You must use the small jump ramps on the deck on the left and right of the rail to jump to the rail in the center. Additionally with enough speed you can just skip the upper rail and just aim for the lower rail and land in a grind.

8. Deck Gap ??00 Points ??om the high deck in the center of the level launch off the kicker ramps on either side of the rail and clear the lower deck completely. To earn the bonus you cannot touch even the very end of the lower deck or the ramps leading up to it.

9. Low Deck Gap ??0 Points ??is one's fairly easy. Just pick up some speed by sessioning the half-pipe on either side of the large main deck in the center of the level. Once your going really fast pull an air of the far side transition on the portion of the ramp closest to the lower part of the deck in the center of the level. Angle your landing so that you head for the ramp attached to the side of the lower deck. Bust the biggest ollie you can muster and land on the transition on the other side, completely clearing the flat of the lower deck for the Low Deck gap Bonus.

10. ET Grind ??00 Points ??nd the secret room behind the sliding double green doors in the corner of the level with the alien being dissected inside. Enter the room with moderate speed and go up the ramp and out the other door. From there, ollie onto the grind-able barrier and make a quick ollie from the end, aiming for the barrier on the deck of the small quarter-pipe along the fence. Land in a grind and ollie from the end and land in another grind on the curved barrier in the corner. Continue the grind to the very end to receive the ET Grind gap bonus. It is also possible to earn the gap bonus going the opposite direction.

Congratulations. You have just beat the game.
